The Bose SoundLink Micro is a portable Bluetooth speaker known for its impressive sound quality despite its small size. It is waterproof with an IPX7 rating, making it suitable for outdoor adventures such as hiking or biking. The speaker has a tear-resistant silicone strap that can be attached to backpacks, bike handlebars, or any other surface. To connect the speaker to a device, press and hold the Bluetooth button until the LED blinks blue and the voice prompt says it’s ready to connect. The Bose Connect app offers additional features like Party Mode, which allows two speakers to play in sync, and access to firmware updates.
The SoundLink Micro supports Bluetooth multipoint, allowing it to connect to two devices at once. However, there is a one-second delay between audio and video playback and commands like skipping tracks. The battery life is around 5 hours, and it takes 4 hours to charge with a 1A power source and closer to 3 hours with a 1.5A source.
The speaker gets loud with strong bass and clear vocals. Its minuscule size is misleading since it pumps out unexpectedly strong bass.
