The Razer DeathAdder Essential gaming mouse is a more affordable entry in the DeathAdder series. It maintains the same shape and size as its more expensive counterparts, making it suitable for all grip types for most hand sizes. However, individuals with small hands may find claw or fingertip grips challenging. The mouse features a low minimum lift-off distance, decent click latency, and a consistent sensor performance. On the downside, its CPI range is limited, with adjustments possible only in increments of 100. The mouse is relatively heavy, has a less flexible braided cable, and offers green backlighting only.
