Product Overview

Product Name: BMW CE 04 (2021)
Brand:

The BMW CE 04 is a futuristic electric scooter designed for urban mobility, offering a unique blend of innovative technology, modern design, and practicality. Introduced in 2021, this scooter is a significant step forward in BMW Motorrad’s electromobility strategy, catering to the needs of city dwellers and commuters.

Design and Features

The CE 04 boasts a striking, avant-garde design that sets it apart from traditional scooters. Its modern surface finish is in a striking Light White, complemented by matt black sections in the front and side areas as well as the “floating” seat. The scooter features trend-setting wheels with a disc-wheel look and an integrated side stand that is seamlessly integrated into the design. The optional Avantgarde Style adds a bold, colorful statement with Magellan Grey metallic, a black/orange seat, an orange wind deflector, and various graphics.

Electric Drive and Performance

The CE 04 is powered by a permanent magnet electric motor, similar to those used in BMW cars like the 225xe Active Tourer. This motor is liquid-cooled and mounted in the frame between the battery and the rear wheel. The scooter has a maximum output of 31 kW (42 hp) and a maximum torque of 46 lb-ft @ 1,500 rpm. It can accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h in just 2.6 seconds, making it suitable for both urban and longer trips.

Battery and Charging

The CE 04 is equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 60.6 Ah (8.9 kWh). This battery provides a range of approximately 130 kilometers (80 miles) for the A2-compliant model and 100 kilometers (60 miles) for the A1, 125cc equivalent. Charging times are significantly reduced with the optional quick charger, which can fully charge the battery in just 1 hour and 40 minutes when it is completely flat. Standard charging times are 4 hours and 20 minutes for a full charge.

Technology and Safety

The CE 04 features a range of innovative technologies, including a standard 10.25” TFT Color Screen with integrated map navigation. It also comes equipped with BMW Motorrad ABS and a hydraulic twin-disk brake system in the front and a hydraulic single-disk brake system in the rear.
