The Samsung Galaxy A80 is a mid-range to high-range Android smartphone manufactured by Samsung Electronics as part of its fifth-generation Galaxy A series lineup. It was launched at the Samsung Galaxy Event in Bangkok, Thailand on April 10, 2019, and released on May 29, 2019. One of its most notable features is the absence of a front-facing camera, instead opting for a unique pop-up camera mechanism that allows for a nearly bezel-less display.

• The Samsung Galaxy A80 features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (2400×1080 pixels) Super AMOLED “New Infinity Display” with a 20:9 aspect ratio, making it the first Samsung phone to incorporate the “New Infinity” technology.
• It is powered by the Snapdragon 730G SoC, an octa-core processor with two cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and six cores clocked at 1.7 GHz.
• The device comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage, which unfortunately cannot be expanded via a microSD card.
• The phone boasts dimensions of 165.2 x 76.5 x 9.3mm and includes a 3700 mAh battery with 25W Super Fast Charging technology.

Camera:

• The Samsung Galaxy A80 is equipped with a triple-camera setup consisting of a main 48-megapixel camera, an ultrawide 8-megapixel camera, and a Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensor.
• Notably, it introduces a rotating camera mechanism where the back-facing cameras slide up and rotate forward automatically when switched to selfie mode.

Software:

• The device runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with Samsung’s One UI interface.
• It includes various features such as Bixby, Samsung Pay, Samsung Health, and Samsung Knox.
